The 10 cleverest Easter eggs of all the time

Hello everyone, thank you for being here. As you might know, Taylor has a obsession for Easter eggs and today we would like to talk about some of the cleverest and unpopular Easter eggs of all the time... let’s start!

1. The 19 hands in the hallway

As you might have noticed, there are 19 hands in the hallway, which pointed out as a sign for the 19th amendment of the constitution of the USA, which basically introduces the woman voting right.

2. Paper Rings

The lyric video for “ME!“ included a very subtle Easter egg for the song „Paper Rings“.

There were rings made from paper scattered on the table Taylor was writing the lyrics on.

3. London Boy

you can see some London landmarks in the cityscape behind Taylor in a few shots of the “ME!“ Music video which was a hint for the song “London Boy“.

4. Look what you made me do music video

In the bathtub scene you can see rattled chande that are a reference to the line “bass beat rattling the chandeliers“, and this song is also about Kanye West.

5. Another Look what you made me do Easter egg

And while we're talking about Look what you made me do, there’s also another easter egg in the bathtube scene: one of the necklaces which looks quite a bit like the locket Calvin Harris gave Taylor on their one-year anniversary. You all can see, that the two necklaces are arranged in such a way that says “NO” which could be an easter egg referencing Calvin proposing and Taylor declining. Maybe that’s the reason why you can see in the middle of the video an empty ring box.

6. The Ellen DeGeneres Interview

I’m sure you remember the Interview with Ellen back in May 2019. Ellen asked Taylor about her favourite TV show and her favourite movie... and what was her answer? “Somone Great” and “Killing Eve”. And surprise surprise, this was an Easter egg! “Somone Great“ inspired Taylor to write the song “Death by a thousand cuts“ and then create a cover of “Look what you made me do” for the soundtrack of ”Killing Eve”!

7. Delicate Music Video

It might be possible, that Taylor gave us back in 2018 a hint for the next number 5 track...

Can you see the little archer statue in the background?

8. the day Taylor left Big Machine

This isn’t a real Easter egg, but anyways a really cool fact. Taylor left Big Machine on the 19th November, which is also known as International Men’s Day.

9. the dice in You Need To Calm Down

I‘m not sure if you noticed it, but I have not, here it is: if you count all the dots on the dice, and count it to the release day of the ”You need to calm down“ music video, you end up on the 8.23.2019 aka release day of Lover!

10. The I think he knows hint

There's a sign that says "16th Avenue" in the ”You need to calm down“ music video, a reference to I Think He Knows.

I hope you liked my first post and that you learned about new easter eggs, see you soon!

Love,

Celina
